モナシュ大学は1958年にビクトリア州メルボルンに設立されたオーストラリアを代表する名門公立研究大学で、Group of Eight（Go8）の一員である。QS世界大学ランキング2025年版では世界37位にランクインし、オーストラリア国内6位の評価を得ている。メルボルン南東部のクレイトンにメインキャンパスを構え、マレーシア、南アフリカ、インドネシアにも海外キャンパスを展開するオーストラリア最大規模の大学である。薬学・薬理学ではQSランキングで世界2位という驚異的な実績を持ち、教育学、看護学、工学の各分野でも世界トップ50にランクインしている。約85,000人の学生のうち留学生が約30%を占め、170カ国以上からの学生が集う極めて国際的な環境である。産業界との連携も活発で、卒業生の就職率と初任給の水準はオーストラリアでトップクラスの実績を誇る。奨学金制度としてMonash International Leadership Scholarshipがあり、授業料の100%を最長4年間カバーするものも用意されている。難易度は高く、特に医学部と法学部の入学競争は激しい。メルボルンはカフェ文化、ストリートアートで知られる世界有数の文化都市である。世界ランキング上位で学びたい人、グローバルなキャリアを目指す人にとって、モナシュ大学は最有力候補の一つである。
