大学概要
エディスコーワン大学（ECU）は1991年に設立された西オーストラリア州パースの公立大学で、オーストラリア初の女性連邦議員であるエディス・コーワンの名を冠している。メインキャンパスのジョーンダラップはパース市内から車で約25分の場所に位置し、2021年にはパース中心部にも新たなシティキャンパスを開設した。THE世界大学ランキング2024年版では世界401-500位に位置している。最大の特徴はサイバーセキュリティ研究において世界的に認められている点で、同大学のセキュリティ研究所はオーストラリア政府からAcademic Centre of Cyber Security Excellenceに認定されている。また、パフォーミングアーツ（舞台芸術）の分野でも西オーストラリア州唯一の専門プログラムを提供しており、西オーストラリア芸術アカデミー（WAAPA）は国際的に高い評判を持つ。看護学や教育学でも強みを発揮しており、卒業生の就職率は高い。留学生向けの奨学金としてECU International Scholarshipがあり、授業料の最大20%が免除される。パースは世界で最も住みやすい都市の一つとして知られ、美しいインド洋のビーチと温暖な地中海性気候が魅力である。サイバーセキュリティや舞台芸術に関心がある学生にとって、ECUは他にない選択肢となるだろう。
