大学概要
ラトローブ大学は1967年にビクトリア州メルボルンに設立された公立研究大学で、メルボルン北部バンドゥーラのメインキャンパスは267ヘクタールの広大な自然保護区に囲まれた緑豊かな環境である。QS世界大学ランキング2025年版では世界217位にランクインし、近年急速に順位を上げている注目の大学である。最大の強みは健康科学と考古学の分野で、特に考古学はQSランキングで世界トップ50に入る評判を持つ。理学療法、言語病理学、栄養学などの健康科学プログラムもオーストラリア国内で高い評価を受けている。また同大学はジェンダー平等への取り組みで先駆的な存在であり、Times Higher EducationのImpact Rankingsではジェンダー平等部門で世界トップ10にランクインしている。留学生向けの奨学金としてLa Trobe International Scholarshipがあり、授業料の最大25%が免除される。メルボルンは世界で最も住みやすい都市に何度も選ばれており、アート、食文化、スポーツが盛んな国際都市である。バンドゥーラキャンパスは市内中心部から電車で約40分でアクセスできる。健康科学や考古学に興味があり、自然豊かなキャンパスで学びたい人に適した進路である。
