ボンド大学は1987年にオーストラリア初の私立非営利大学として設立された。クイーンズランド州ゴールドコーストのロビーナに位置し、世界的建築家・丹下健三が設計した美しいキャンパスは50ヘクタールの敷地に人工湖を配した贅沢な環境である。QS世界大学ランキングでは規模の小ささゆえ総合順位には反映されにくいが、法学部はオーストラリア国内で常にトップ5にランクインしている。年3学期制を採用しており、通常3年かかる学士号を2年で取得できる点が最大の特徴である。学生対教員比率は約11:1とオーストラリアで最も低い水準であり、個別指導が充実している。Good Universities Guideでは学生満足度、教育の質、スキル開発の各指標で最高評価の5つ星を15年以上連続で獲得しており、教育の評判は極めて高い。私立のため授業料はオーストラリアの大学の中では高額だが、Vice-Chancellor's Scholarshipをはじめとする奨学金制度が充実しており、成績優秀者には大幅な学費減免がある。ゴールドコーストはサーファーズパラダイスに近い温暖なリゾート地で、学業と生活のバランスを重視する学生に人気が高い。少人数制の環境で法学やビジネスを集中的に学びたい人に向いている。
