サンシャインコースト大学（UniSC）は1996年に設立されたクイーンズランド州の公立大学で、オーストラリアの大学の中では比較的新しい大学である。メインキャンパスはブリスベンから北に約100kmのシポスプレインズに位置し、100ヘクタール以上の自然保護区に囲まれた環境である。THE世界大学ランキング2024年版では世界601-800位に位置しているが、THE Young University Rankingsでは着実に順位を上げている成長中の大学である。最大の特徴はオーストラリアで最も高い学生満足度の一つを誇る点で、Good Universities Guideでは全体的な学生体験、教育の質、学生サポートで最高評価の5つ星を獲得している。健康科学、スポーツ科学、環境科学が強みの分野であり、サンシャインコーストの豊かな自然環境を活かした海洋生態学の研究も注目されている。留学生向けの奨学金としてUniSC International Scholarshipがあり、授業料の最大25%が免除される。サンシャインコーストはブリスベンとゴールドコーストの喧騒を避けた穏やかなビーチリゾート地域で、温暖な気候と美しい海岸線が魅力である。生活費もクイーンズランド州の主要都市より安い。小規模な大学環境で手厚いサポートを受けたい人、自然豊かな環境で健康科学やスポーツ科学を学びたい人に向いた大学である。
