オーストラリアン・カトリック大学（ACU）は1991年に4つのカトリック系高等教育機関の統合により設立された公立大学である。シドニー、メルボルン、ブリスベン、キャンベラ、バララット、アデレード、ブラックタウンの7つのキャンパスを全国に展開しており、学生は複数都市で学ぶ機会を得られる。QS世界大学ランキング2025年版では世界601-650位に位置し、特に看護学と教育学の分野で高い評判を誇る。看護学はオーストラリア国内トップクラスの評価を受けており、卒業生の就職率も極めて高い。カトリックの理念に基づく社会正義と奉仕の精神を教育の根幹に据え、全学生に必修のコミュニティ・エンゲージメントプログラムを提供している点が他大学にはない独自の特徴である。留学生向けの奨学金制度も整備されており、ACU International Student Scholarshipでは授業料の最大50%が免除される。難易度は分野によって異なるが、看護・教育分野は競争率が高い。キャンパスは都市中心部に位置するものが多く、生活の利便性に優れる。メルボルンキャンパスはフィッツロイ地区にあり、カフェ文化が根付くおしゃれなエリアとして知られる。看護師や教員を目指し、社会貢献にも意欲的な学生にとって最適な進路の一つといえる。
