大学概要
クイーンズランド工科大学（QUT）は1989年にブリスベン工科大学から大学に昇格した公立大学で、その歴史は1849年設立のブリスベン芸術学校にまで遡る。ブリスベン市中心部のガーデンズポイントとケルビングローブの2つのキャンパスを有し、特にガーデンズポイントキャンパスは議事堂やブリスベン川に隣接する抜群のロケーションである。QS世界大学ランキング2025年版では世界189位にランクインしている。「実社会のための大学（A University for the Real World）」をスローガンに掲げ、産業界との密接な連携を教育の根幹としている。特にクリエイティブ産業（メディア、デザイン、映像）の分野ではQSランキングで世界トップ30にランクインし、オーストラリアで最も革新的なプログラムとして高い評判を持つ。ビジネス、工学、健康科学でも強みを発揮している。卒業生の就職率はオーストラリアで常にトップクラスであり、進路サポートも充実している。留学生向けの奨学金としてQUT International Merit Scholarshipがあり、授業料の最大25%が免除される。ブリスベンはシドニーやメルボルンに比べて生活費が安く、2032年オリンピック開催都市として急速に発展している。クリエイティブ産業やテクノロジー分野でキャリアを築きたい人に最適な大学である。
